The Rabbit and the Plushie: A Gentle Poem on Letting Go, Trusting God, and Finding Peace Through Faith
In a cozy little burrow, so warm and bright,
Lived a rabbit who clutched a plushie tight.
Soft and fluffy, it brought peace at night,
But one day it vanished, out of sight.
She searched through the forest, high and low,
Calling its name, to and fro.
"Where have you gone, my dear little friend?
Come back to me, let this worry end."
But the plushie was gone, lost to the breeze,
The rabbit sat still, heart filled with unease.
Then a voice whispered softly, so pure and kind,
"Not lost, dear rabbit, it's safe in My mind."
The rabbit looked up, eyes full of light,
Understanding at last—everything's right.
"For I am the keeper," the voice did say,
"Your plushie is with Me, safe every day."
With a smile, the rabbit closed his eyes,
Trusting the wisdom of the skies.
"I'll hold on to faith, and let go of fear,
For everything precious, I know, is near."
With the plushie safe in God's embrace,
The rabbit sat still, a peaceful grace.
He thought of all the things we hold,
The treasures we cherish, the things we’re told.
"Is it the things that bring us peace?
Or the trust in God that never ceases?"
The rabbit realized with a quiet sigh,
True peace comes from the One on high.
"Earthly treasures may come and go,
But in God’s care, we’ll always know,
That what’s lost is never truly gone,
For in His hands, we always belong."
And so, the rabbit smiled with light,
Knowing his plushie was safe in sight,
Not just in the world, but in God's hand,
A lesson of trust, so gentle and grand.
