G is for Goldenrod
Latin name: Solidago
In fields of gold, where sunlight gleams,
The Goldenrod blooms, a painter's dreams.
With spikes of gold, it lights the way,
A beacon of warmth on a cool day.
In late summer's haze, it takes its stand,
A symbol of abundance across the land.
With every bloom, a story told,
Of golden days and dreams untold.
In meadows wide and forests deep,
The Goldenrod's beauty, it does keep.
A treasure trove for bees and butterflies,
It welcomes them with open skies.
So let us rejoice in this flower bold,
The Goldenrod, in fields untold.
For in its bloom, we find a spark,
Of joy and warmth, even in the dark.
